Return Policy

Damages and Issues

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team immediately. Report the issue within 7 days of receiving the item. We will arrange for a replacement or a full refund, depending on your preference.

Exceptions and Non-returnable Items

Certain items are non-returnable due to hygiene and safety reasons. These include:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers)
  • Personal care items (e.g., beauty products, hygiene products)
  • Intimate apparel (e.g., underwear, swimwear)
  • Customized or personalized items
  • Gift cards
  • for all items categorized under “SAVE FOOD”

Additionally, items must be unused and in their original packaging to be eligible for a return.

Consequences of Cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for any additional costs incurred if you chose a delivery method other than our most economical standard delivery). The refund will be processed immediately, and no later than 14 days from the date we receive your cancellation notice. Unless otherwise agreed, we will use the same payment method you used for the original transaction, and no fees will be charged for the refund.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned products or until you provide proof that you have returned the products, whichever comes first.

You must return the products to us at Village Grocery Traders UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Am Mellinghofer Str 368C, 45475 Mülheim an der Ruhr, without delay, and no later than 14 days from the date you notify us of the cancellation. The deadline is met if you send the products before the 14-day period expires.

You are responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods, estimated at a maximum of EUR 9.99.

You will only be liable for any diminished value of the products if the reduction in value is due to handling that was not necessary to examine the nature, characteristics, and functionality of the products.

Exchanges and Refunds

  • Exchanges: We offer exchanges for items of equal or lesser value within 14 days of delivery. Please contact our customer service to arrange the exchange.
  • Refunds: Items can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Once we receive the returned item, we will process the refund within 7-10 business days. The refund will be credited to your original payment method.
